The owners of Ninth Ward bring Red Stripe and jerk chicken to the East Village with this 2,400-square-foot Jamaican-themed joint. Sip tropical cocktails, like the signature Drunken Coconut, a mix of the namesake fruit's liquid, spiced rum and pineapple juice served in a coconut shell.
The other day, we broke the news that Kingston Hall, the sixties-Jamaica-themed bar from the Shoolbred’s team, is opening tomorrow. Now, here are a couple of photos of the space, done up like a groovy hipster clubhouse.
Inspired by the colours and flavours of colonial Jamaica, Kingston Hall is deliciously retro space. Located above the 13th Step (don’t be confused by the residential style entrance from the street), this friendly venue has a stylish, stripped back look to the décor: the high-ceilinged interior is peppered with palms, warm wood and kitsch artwork.
